The worldwide pandemic caused capt. Trevor Estes spent a record of 206 consecutive days at sea and away from home and family… and dog.
Yeah, that was a problem, and the problem got bigger because his Golden retriever, named Duke, missed him so much.
We all know how our fur friends can go crazy when they see us, and just try to imagine how is it after 206 days!
It’s always a wonderful time for military families when their loved ones come back from deployment and this time was no exception, especially for Duke.
He was extremely excited to greet Capt.Trevor Estes who was deployed with the Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group for seven months. Estes is Commander, Carrier Air Wing Three.
“The whole family was ecstatic to have my dad back, but Duke was something. Even after 25 years and multiple deployments that much time from home is tough,” he said.
Is this this joy or what?
