As a responsible dog parent you’ve probably potty trained your dog and you’re taking them on regular walks, you even let them out in the backyard for bathroom breaks. It all sounds great, however there is one problem. Your puppy still does his business inside the house. So, why on earth is this happening?!
Well, there are two possible answers:
- You didn’t actually potty train your pup;
- You gave your puppy too much freedom too soon.
The problem is that new dog parents often expect their puppies to housetrain in an unreasonably short amount of time and the worst part is they put the minimal effort into training their puppy.
Potty training is actually a very complex, step-by-step process that can take several months!
