Dogs are cute, that’s undeniable. What’s also undeniable is that puppies are even cuter! We want to brighten your day and be your source of lovable puppies (well, at least their pictures) so we put together a list of adorable breeds that are even more lovable as puppies. We are sharing puppy love if you will.
Now, we know what puppy love is, don’t get us wrong, you don’t have to correct us or state examples of puppy love. In this article, we’re ignoring the true meaning of that phrase and using it to our benefit – to describe how cute dogs are!
So, take a look at our list and enjoy the cute puppy pictures, who knows, you might fall in love with some breed and find the right puppy for you!
Buying from a reputable breeder
Before we dive into the cute puppy pictures we need to get something straight. When choosing the right puppy for you, please don’t only focus on their looks. When picking the perfect dog for your family you need to pay attention to so many other things. Like, getting healthy puppies, if the dog will need plenty of space when they grow up (like a German Shepherd), if they need much exercise, if you can provide them with a play area.
There is no doubt that you and your puppy will become best friends in no time. But, you also need to get everything ready for your puppy and make sure you have all the needed supplies for them to be happy.
Of course, you also need to make sure you know who you’re buying from. You want to get your puppy from a reliable breeder. Avoid buying a puppy from pet shops at the mall. You might think that’s an awesome store, and it might be a great place for dog supplies. But it is not for actually buying a puppy there.
Pet shop puppies
We are not sold on the idea that the puppies you can get in pet shops are going to good homes. Let us be honest, the puppies are sold on a first come basis. No one is going to ask the buyer questions if they have all the needed supplies for the puppy or if they can even care for new puppies.
Buying a puppy is not as simple as it seems, you need to be able to ask questions to ensure the health of the puppy, and only the breeder will be able to provide you with answers. We are talking about questions like the parent’s health and health care if the puppies have all the needed paperwork.
You also want to be able to find out which puppy has the best personality that is suited for you and your family. Besides that, a good breeder will give you health screenings and a health guarantee for the puppies. To put it in simple terms, with a reputable breeder you’re getting great customer service, at a pet shop not so much.

Now, without further ado let’s get into our puppy love article!
German Shepherd
You will love your German Shepherd puppy! These dogs are very interested in everything. Because they are always curious and love being taught new things and skills. They are a very smart breed that likes to show off when they can.
The GSD puppies are a lot of fun. They’re quick to learn and enjoy having a job to do, even if it’s chewing through a tasty bone. They are very loyal to their humans and have a good sense of their abilities. Because of this, they’re also going to be great home protectors when they grow up.
They don’t need a lot of grooming, but they do need to be bathed and brushed from time to time. But, when they grow they will go through shedding phases once or twice a year. When that happens it’s important to brush them every few days to get rid of any loose hair.
German Shepherd puppies are very eager to please and would do well in puppy classes. So training them shouldn’t be an issue at all. But, they need to be socialized quickly, while they are still small. This is important because of their size of the fact that they grow quickly. When training them it is best to use positive, reward-based training. When they are young, GSD pups are good at learning new things.
Shih Tzu
The Shih Tzu is a dog breed that was developed to be a friend and companion. And that hasn’t changed at all! It’s all that they want to be, too. They just want to be with you at all times. So don’t expect them to hunt, protect, or retrieve, that’s not what they do. They don’t do that.
They are very affectionate, and your lap is their favorite place. These dogs are the happiest when they’re with their family, giving and getting attention and love.
But that doesn’t mean they don’t like being active or that they are shy. Despite their size, the Shih Tzu is alert and lively. They will even bark at people who come to their house. This is how you would say it:
When it comes to their living needs, they’re very adaptable, and because of their size, they can fit into any home, whether it’s big or small, in a city or the country. It is just important that they live inside, if you leave them outside, they’ll be miserable. They’re house dogs and should not be kept outside.
As with other breeds that have short faces, the Shih Tzu can’t take the heat very well. They should stay inside on hot days so they don’t get heatstroke. They should stay in an air-conditioned room or one with fans so they don’t get too hot.
You should know that Shih Tzus are often thought to be hard to potty train. So that might be somewhat of a challenge even for experienced dog owners. One piece of advice we can give you is to never let your dog come to the point where they pee on your carpet. Take them out regularly, if necessary every hour for a short walk.
Dachshund puppy love
Dachshunds are loyal and loving dogs, but when it comes to training they are stubborn! These dogs are so strong-headed that they won’t be afraid to do whatever they want to. That’s why they do best with people who know how to deal with their little quirks and stubborn behavior.
Dachshund puppies love to have fun and there won’t ever be a dull moment with a Dachshund around. But, that is only when someone is around them. They don’t do well on their own and prefer to have someone to play with all day. Dachshunds are very social and can get lonely if they are left alone.
You might have already heard, but Dachshunds tend to be very loud and bark at anything and anyone. But, this will also depend on how well they have been trained and on their personality.
If you don’t want your Dachshund to bark without any reason, then you will have to train them from early on. Dachshunds need positive, reward-based training from a young age because they can be stubborn when it comes to being trained, so they need to be taught positively from the start. They need to associate training with something good. People who own Dachshunds need to set clear rules and be consistent with them. They also need to be very, very patient with them.
As a puppy, Dachshunds love attention. By socializing your Dachshund from a young age, they will grow up to be happy and well-behaved adult dogs.
Conclusion – Puppy love
In this article, we’ve talked about only three of the most adorable puppies, but there are so many more like the Husky, Golden retriever, Labrador retriever, Poodle, and others.
But, we also need to be realistic and say that the level of cuteness of a breed doesn’t mean they are the right dog for you. If you want to get a puppy for your kid, you should also know that all breeds require a certain age experience. Children usually don’t know how to behave with puppies especially if it’s a more delicate breed. Some claim that early adolescence might be the best age to get your child a puppy to care for.
All puppies also require good care and training. When you have a puppy you also need to have the means to get them to a vet or veterinary technologist. You also need to have enough time on your hands to form a personal relationship with your puppy and have the patience to follow them through their process of maturing.
But, despite a puppy being so much work, it’s worth it. If you want to get a puppy, but don’t know where to get one we got you! To get to an available puppy page click HERE. There are many forms of love, but none is like puppy love!
