Jennifer Garner is getting ready to celebrate her golden retriever Birdie’s upcoming birthday and her new job as a therapy dog!
In a recent chat with We Rate Dogs’ YouTube channel, Garner and Birdie spilled the beans on Birdie’s nine goals before she turns nine in May. These goals include becoming a therapy dog at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
During the interview with the channel’s founder, Matt Nelson, the actress shared,
“She wants to read some new books for kids. And speaking of kids, Birdie is a therapy dog. And she just got a promotion to work at Children’s Hospital L.A.”
Garner revealed a mix of Birdie’s aspirations, from sitting at a Parisian bistro to swimming in the Olympics because she loves to swim. Birdie also aims to devour an entire string of cheese and even wants to try skydiving before her ninth birthday.
Adding a touch of humor, Garner mentioned that Birdie has a crush on Major Biden and is determined to stop biting her nails. She also shared how Birdie plans to showcase her soprano skills by singing with the Metropolitan Opera.
The actress fondly recalled how Birdie became a part of their family after her eldest daughter, Violet Anne, patiently waited until her tenth birthday to get her very own dog.
Garner, who co-parents Violet, Seraphina Rose, and Samuel with ex-husband Ben Affleck, discussed the special bond between Birdie and her family.
Garner also mentioned their new series, “Books with Birdie,” where she reads children’s books to her furry companion, highlighting Birdie’s passion for promoting children’s literacy.
It’s clear that Birdie is on a mission to spread joy and make a difference, one wag of her tail at a time!
