Meet Sora, a lovable pup who found herself at the Valley Animal Center in Fresno, California over two and a half years ago. Despite her playful nature and love for walks and tennis balls, Sora spent more than 900 days waiting for her forever home.
The staff at the shelter saw Sora’s potential as a wonderful companion, but it wasn’t until recently that a potential adopter noticed her. Excitement filled the air as Sora was finally chosen to start a new chapter in her life.
Unfortunately, Sora’s joy was short-lived. Just 24 hours after being adopted, she was returned to the shelter. The video posted on TikTok captured the sadness in Sora’s eyes as she found herself back in the familiar shelter environment.
Sim Kaur, a dedicated staff member at the Valley Animal Center, expressed her disappointment at the situation. She believes that shelter pets like Sora need time to adjust to their new homes and should be introduced to new family members gradually.
Despite this setback, Kaur remains hopeful that Sora will find the perfect home that suits her energetic personality. She envisions a home where Sora can be the center of attention and receive the love and training she deserves.
