Nicole McLean, a personal trainer from Maryland, has a furry companion who is eager to follow in her footsteps.
Her golden retriever, Mr. Moose, has developed a keen interest in her training sessions, always wanting to be a part of them.
With a studio gym set up in her home, Nicole offers both in-person and virtual personal training sessions. This means that Mr. Moose has a front-row seat to observe what the career entails, and he absolutely loves it.
In a TikTok video posted on January 31 under the account @mr.moose_waffles, Mr. Moose can be seen sitting in a spot that gives him a perfect view into the training room.
He patiently waits for an invitation, as Nicole explains:
“He will wait at that spot until I invite him. If I don’t invite him in, he’ll just lay there the whole session.”
It’s hard to resist that sweet face, and Mr. Moose hopes to be invited to every session. Exercising alongside a dog sounds like the perfect motivation for clients, but Nicole knows firsthand the distractions he can cause.
She mentions that he joins sessions about 50 percent of the time. The reason for not letting him in is simple—he can be distracting, and all you want to do is cuddle him.
Plus, his hair gets everywhere. Golden retrievers are known for their luscious locks that shed all year round. Understandably, some clients aren’t big fans of the hair.
Fortunately, Mr. Moose has managed to build strong relationships with Nicole’s clients.
“Mr. Moose has a favorite client, Sam, and he knows when she’s coming,”
Nicole reveals.
This 4-year-old dog’s dedication to being the best “pawfessional” he can be has captured the hearts of many. The video has already garnered 1.4 million views, 196,500 likes, and 543 comments as of Tuesday.
“If ‘I’ll just be right here if you need me’ was a face,” one viewer commented, showcasing Mr. Moose’s adorable and attentive posture.
Another viewer expressed their desire to join the training session, saying, “I don’t even know what training session this is, but I want in.”
However, some users expressed frustration that Mr. Moose has to wait outside the studio.
One user wrote, “Who’s not inviting Mr. Moose to their sessions? I just want to TALK.”
While we can’t control who invites Mr. Moose, it’s clear that he has the potential to build his own client base in no time. That way, he’ll never miss out on a session again. So, get ready to have a workout buddy who will make your fitness journey even more enjoyable and adorable!
