Marv the Pup Steals the Show on TikTok with His Hilarious ‘Goodnight, See You Tomorrow’ Bedtime Routine!

Dogs often surprise us with how much human flair their actions and behaviors have. One dog in particular has left their owner, and the internet, stunned after deciding of his own accord to call it a night and take himself off to bed after what could only have been a “long and stressful” day.

A hilarious video, captured by the dog’s owner and shared to the social media platform TikTok, documented the pet’s unexpectedly self-determined bedtime.

The video, which has been viewed more than 85,000 times since it was first shared to TikTok on January 18, introduced TikTokers to the cane corso puppy who is named Marv and his no-nonsense approach to bedtime.

“Marv decided he was done for the night.”

The video’s creator shared in the post while viewers were shown a clip of the pup wandering up the stairs and off to his bed.

“I acted as if I was trying to reach him about his car’s extended warranty.”

The dog’s owner continued while chasing Marv up the stairs to determine what was behind his sudden departure.

The post had been captioned: “He really said goodnight girl, see you tomorrow!”

Marv and his owner live in New Jersey. The pup and his owner, who manages his account @marvthemush, have accumulated over 1,600 followers on TikTok.

Just How Much Sleep Does Your Pup Need?

The average adult dog will need between eight and thirteen hours of sleep per day, according to the organization Sleep Foundation, which researches and publishes information relating to sleep and health.

For puppies, research is more limited but does suggest that younger dogs sleep eleven hours per day.

“Adult dogs sleep longer at night than puppies do, usually between 60 percent and 80 percent of the hours between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m., depending on their surroundings and their owner’s schedule,”

says the Sleep Foundation website.

“However, daytime naps are still important for adult dogs, who may sleep for up to 37 percent of the day,”

it adds.

Sleep Foundation recommends that owners set up a sleep schedule for their dogs to help them sleep better overall throughout the night.

Since it had been shared to the social media platform on January 18 by @marvthemush, the TikTok post has been liked by over 2,200 users and commented on more than 20 times. TikTokers have taken to the post’s comments section to voice their takes on the moment.
